Long-distance move from Illinois to Florida

It's a mess!

Jason called from company guaranteeing to do move for certain price, from price comparison of estimate from another companies in person quote. He told me the other company is going by weight of approx 125 boxes and furniture.. that they are crazy. He said his estimate is more accurate sight unseen even with no in home quote and if I even have 150 boxes or more.. " I guarantee this price will not be a penny more!" I have it clearly in writing! And he will be our contact always.. whenever we want or need him! When I called back to ask a question of Jason he no longer answers calls or texts or emails ever! I told Jason I still wanted an on sight confirmation so there would be no surprises and he told me his foreman would come on a certain day and time.. he never showed. When I called I was told they do not travel more than 150 miles from their area! We are 3 hours but Jason knew that! Then I was told I should probably do a new inventory and I'll get a new price! I told them I have a contract on a set price! They said that I am the one who did the initial inventory and sent it in! I explained that I did not! Jason called me, asked me to send him the other companies quote which he clearly stated was based on weight not their way (apples to oranges) and sent me 5 emails stating he guaranteed the price would be less and the price in the contract!
I called today to ask IF I wanted to have the movers drop off some things to a storage unit 5 miles down the street from our new home how much extra would that be? First I was told they were taking my things to storage till we went to Florida! I explained they are moving my things directly TO Florida .. then she said it will be a whole new trip.. ie: $3000 + $3000! Insane!
I'm so worried about this upcoming move in 17 days!!

Long-distance move from Wisconsin to Virginia

Move wi to va.

I had a great experience with United Relocation Group. To start ,I contacted a few companies to get the best rate, and United Relocation was the winner. To get the quote you have to fill out a detailed inventory form so they can figure out space in the truck. They got back to me with an estimate of 1800$. They called me the day before to confirm the time, which was helpful. They arrived a little early, which was fine by me, I was ready to go.Mike sat with me to go over paperwork while the other two figured the best route to get everything out, either front door or back door and immediately went to work getting everything out. They wrapped my furniture and apart the pieces that needed the extra care.the guys moved so fast,by the time we were finished with paperwork, they were nearly finished getting everything out.
On delivery day truck arrive in time. There was two guys. Leo and Robert. I think , very nice people. They set up my living room exactly how I wanted it.
After they'd hauled a hugely dresser upstairs at my request,i decided I didn't like where it was and asked if they could swap it with a piece downstairs. Without hesitation, they re-wrapped both pieces and swapped them out. There was brand new floors at the new place and they treated my home and things like they were the most valuable things. I felt as though I was in very experienced and capable hands with these guys.
customer service was very helpful . Thanks Cinthia. you doing great job. I would recommend this company.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Washington

Stay away from United Relocation Group.

I moved to Renton, WA from Waukegan, IL. I had a nightmare dealing with United Relocation Group. They don't even provide complete documents like Bill of landing (contract) and Order of service. Take a complete coverage insurance since your items will be missing at the time of delivery.

My moving estimates was #2406182. Prior to choosing united relocation they will try to lure you by giving away affordable estimates. Once you book with them, they will charge more on the day of pickup and delivery.

Also they did not deliver my Samsung 40" Smart TV. Now I've to go through the pain of raising a claim. Also their customer service is worst since nobody cares about your claim. Ideally somebody should be helping you out to file your claim by providing the information or documents needed.

Long-distance move from Ohio to North Carolina

Stay away. Please trust me!

Please read before you consider using this company!

We went online to find movers when we found out we were going to relocate from Ohio to North Carolina. A rep called us immediately (Ron Ross) we went over what all we owned and he gave us an estimate. We called around some other places and united relocation group was cheaper by a few hundred dollars. We decided to go with them because they were promising everything the other companies were and then some. Ron followed up with us almost everyday until he got the deposit. We started immediately having problems after we paid our $609 deposit. Ron never called for the QA call. We called customer service and inquired about getting our deposit back and cancelling them. Ron called back almost immediately! We went over the final inventory and he said the foreman "mike" would give us a call with definite pick up time and drop off time. All Ron knew was that it could be 2-3 days. No more than that! He said they could even drop off the next day.

May 21st comes, mike arrives on time (actually early) with 2 other guys. Mike insists on getting payment immediately while we are talking with him the other 2 guys are wrapping and taping things up. We figure this is normal. We've never used movers before. They literally put about 10 boxes in the middle of the floor and wrapped them all up together into one big package. As he gets to the last page of contract he asks my gf to sign a "packing supplies agreement" I asked her not to sign it because it was blank and they could put any number on there. He said it would be $272 after everything was on the truck! What do we do at this point? Half of our shi*t is on this truck and no other company can come this short of a notice! Then he charged extra for extra space. $300 to be exact. If anything it should've been less because we were taking things away that weren't going. We also took off a washer and dryer that Ron still had not removed during the QA call. At this point we are pissed and helpless. They tell us they are delivering on Sunday and Mike said he didn't understand why Ron would say that because he had to pick up another family in Chicago. He kept pointing to the contract saying it will take 2-6 days. Had we know this we would have packed differently.

So we stay at a friends house and decide to head to NC in the am. We have nothing. We go buy an air mattress and a week goes by we don't hear from anyone. We call Ron several times in between all this to tell him about extra costs etc. he was never once available. Never returned calls or vm or even text. We call customer service on Friday. We were told 6 business days by mike. No one called by Friday afternoon so we called customer service. Cynthia at customer service said no one was in office that she could reach out to. The soonest she could find out would be Tuesday because Monday was a holiday. On Tuesday Cynthia left a voicemail saying our stuff would be here no later than Thursday. Maybe even Wednesday and the foreman will call ahead of time. She said to call back with questions I did and no answer. When we didn't get a call by weds we knew we weren't getting our stuff on Thursday as promised. I called Thursday and some girl who answered refused to give me her name so I asked for her supervisor she put me on hold. I held for 30 mins. Hung up called back kept getting VM. Cynthia called me back was very understanding and tried to be helpful and she then said she would call the movers herself. She did and told us they will be here Friday or Saturday and was very apologetic. There was another families stuff on our truck that was in Georgia. They weren't ready to receive their stuff and that was the delay.

Friday the foreman calls says he will be here Saturday. He will call back later to give a specific time for Saturday. Saturday comes no one calls or shows up. We called and text the foreman all day Saturday because customer service isn't open on weekends. Finally we give up decide we are getting a lawyer because our attention needs to be elsewhere as we moved here for work. Sunday June 5, 15 days from the last time we saw our stuff, we finally get a call from a different foreman from a different # He says he will be here at 11. 2 guys show up. They unload another persons stuff into our yard so they can get to our stuff. Which makes me wonder why that couldn't have happened earlier in the week when the GA family was blocking our stuff. Either way They unload our stuff they were really awesome about putting stuff where it was labeled to go. Everything is unpacked and they go outside to reload the other families stuff. I see them go to get in their truck so I go out and ask if they are going to come put our beds and furniture together. The foreman said "No we just move stuff, we don't even have tools".

So to wrap up. We paid extra for so many things we didn't get. We took apart and reassembled our own furniture both times! Packed and wrapped our own things and got charged for it anyways. Out of everyone we talked to Cynthia was the only one who could even give us an idea of what to do. Our stuff was never supposed to leave that truck when it left our house. But it did. It left us,sat in. A warehouse for a week and we were lied to for 2 weeks! Boxes were damaged. Smashed and had some kind of oil all over them!

Please do your research. Don't just go by reviews because half of those reviews on their website are fake. Go with a reputable company even if it costs more it is worth it in the long run if you really receive those services in the end. Overall we gave them more money then the companies with reputable names were even asking.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Arizona

Moving experience.

I am sure you know, moving is stressful. It is a #3 in the list, after bankruptcy and divorce.
I had every confidence that United Relocation Moving Group will provide with great service, Ron and Nikolas were helpful during entire move, until they contacted me that my furniture was loaded into the truck/trailer and I was told that Driver will get to my house in 2-3 Days. By the way, this movers moved my belongings from Chicago, IL to Phoenix, AZ.
Driver never answer my calls, Ron could not reach him out .At the end we found out truck was broken on the way in New Mexico, because of hit, and truck ran 2 days later.
Generally I am happy with United Relocation Group, hope during next 5 years not going to move out of state ,if needed will go with them again .

Long-distance move from Illinois to Florida

Moving made easy.

This company helped my family move from the rotten corrupt state of Illinois to the beautiful sunshine state of Florida. Everything went very smoothly from speaking to the salesman and getting quoted a much better deal than all other competitors, to having the movers over and getting everything packed tightly and moved away. The movers were great, they took care of everything, we didn't have to lift a finger. They came at the scheduled time and loaded their trucks with 3 strong men and they unloaded everything at my beautiful new home in Florida on the day they said they would. I would recommend Moving Statewide to all my friends and family.

Long-distance move from Illinois to California

Gross overcharge - no cooperation.

Do yourself a favor and stay away.
All good till signing the contract.
Very frustrating after that. Overcharged by almost double the cubic footage (more than $3,000 overcharge!). The delivery truck arrived without support stuff and I had to do most of the work with the driver (until a couple day laborers showed up towards the end of the move). I've been given the run around for over 5 months, being thrown back and forth between their insurance company (which apparently does not handle overcharge claims but took 18 weeks to let me know) and the moving company's customer service. Moving is stressful enough without hyena's trying to rob you shamelessly on the way.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Arizona

Use At Your Own Risk.

Stay away, stay away, stay away! 1) the movers who arrived (EDIT) didn't speak a word of English, so impossible to communicate outside of sign language; 2) they overcharged cubic feet, falsely bumping it from 626 to 854; 3) jewelry (EDIT) / missing; 4) all clothing missing /(EDIT); 4) furniture damaged / broken; 5) well over $3,000 of missing articles, jewelry, clothing; 6) have been fighting with them to get reimbursed; 7) they've offered us $60 dollars for loss!! (Going to court now); 8) papers sent to them at the listed address get returned as undeliverable at current address; 9) phone calls aren't answered. Caveat Emptor!

Horrible Experience.

I am moving my 83-year old mom and myself across the country. There were two pick-ups (.3 miles apart) and two deliveries, one in Las Vegas (my mother) and one in Orange County, California. After doing my research, I decided to go with United Relocation/Moving Statewide. My salesman, John Adams, was wonderful during our many emails and conversations about the move. Then the day of the pick-up came. The movers were supposed to be at my house between 11 & noon. They arrived at 5:30pm. I had to keep calling to find out what was going on. They could only do one house that night and had to pick up my mother's house the following day. We had a flight out to California that morning, so had no choice but to put my nephew on charge of her house pick-up. AND as soon as they got to my house, they told me it was an additional $2,300. I felt like I had a gun to my head. My wonderful salesman didn't return any phone calls I made (at least six), didn't return and of my calls or texts. He disappeared. Marianna, the dispatcher, told me that my mom's furniture would arrive in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Oct. 12. We drove from California (where we were staying at my sister's house) to Las Vegas to be there when the furniture arrived. I called Marianna to confirm and she told me the furniture hadn't left the warehouse yet and that they were looking for an "available" truck. We had to stay in a hotel for five days until she finally said it would be there between Monday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 27. She told me that, by state law, the driver had to call 24-hours in advance of the delivery. I hadn't heard from anyone and called on Monday, Oct. 24 and she said it would be Thursday, the 27th. We drove back to Las Vegas on Wednesday, Oct. 26 to be there for the delivery (we had to go back to my sister's house in California because we didn't want to pay for more nights at a hotel). I called her on the way and left her a voicemail letting her know that we still hadn't heard from the driver and to please call me. She didn't. I called again today, Thursday, Oct. 27 - the day the furniture is supposed to arrive, and she sounded surprised that I didn't hear from the driver. Clearly, they have no idea what their drivers are doing. She called me back and told me it would be Sunday. So, now, my 83-year-old mother any myself are stuck in an empty house, out THOUSANDS of dollars that we have had to shell out and I have no way of knowing if the furniture will actually arrive. The contract allows for 21 days (Sunday will be 19 days) from pick-up. I get that. But they TOLD US WHEN OUR FURNITURE WOULD ARRIVE AND WE MADE TRAVEL PLANS AS A RESULT. This has been probably the worst experience I have ever had with a "reputable" company. I have asked REPEATEDLY to get the name of someone I can talk to to resolve this situation and haven't gotten anything. I have asked for things to be put in writing (delivery dates, excuses, etc) and have gotten nothing. I am afraid that the furniture will be damaged or worse. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. BAD PEOPLE.

Horrible moving experience.

This company is horrible! They have caused me so much emotional stress. All they did was lie and steal. I was told prices of move would be 1600 dollars and they ended up charging me 2300. Lack of communication and not professional at all. They broke some of my items and worse of all they stole some of my belongings that were given to me from my dad that passed away. Do not trust this company at all!!
